Today is Groundhog Day, a holiday folk great American, in a rodent named Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow hinges.
According to tradition, if Punxsutawney Phil comes out of its shelter by a cloudy day and is unable to see his shadow, it's a sign that spring is on its way. If February 2 is a sunny day and the shadow of the groundhog, it may indicate that the show for another six weeks of winter.
And this winter - after a series of massive snowstorms, and even a paralyzing ice storm forecast for Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania -., today the stakes are certainly high.
So when Phil made his 125th Nob annual "Forecast" at Gobbler's about 07.25 clock, it will not only educate the press and local dignitaries in top hat, who pays.
