TAMPA - The soccer mom of fatally shooting his two children because they were accused of being "arrogant" was taken to Tampa General Hospital for medical evaluation and not make their first appearance in court this morning MPs said.
Julie Ecker, 50, was transported to hospital shortly before midnight, said sheriff's spokesman Larry McKinnon. It was a disease they had before them in prison Thursday on two counts of first degree murder in pain.
A public defender said Judge Tracy Sheehan, who was taken to ICU.
Ecker police said killed his 13 year old son twice in the head like New Tampa home of football practice Thursday evening, then in the bedroom of her 16 year old daughter and shot the girl twice in the head, as she did her homework.
Ecker pulled children with 38-caliber revolver she had bought five days before, police said.
When the officer arrived at the house in the gated community Ashington Book early Friday in response to a call from a concerned parent who has been Ecker on the back porch in a robe and slippers bloody.
She told investigators that she killed her children because "they were still talking, they were strong and she was tired," spokesman for police said Laura McElroy.
His son, Beau, was an eighth grader at Liberty Middle School and an "incredible goalkeeper."
His daughter, Calyx, was the second year at King High School, where she was in the International Baccalaureate program and a member of the team cross country.
Ecker's husband, Parker is a colonel in the U.S. Army Intelligence and Qatar.
Her mother, Pat Powers declined to give an opinion as of today.
Ecker told investigators they intended to kill the children and himself, had told police. They said they had a detailed report of their plans.
Ecker after book is immediately transported to the prison medical unit because of their agitation, said sheriff's spokesman Larry McKinnon. They are probably there for a few days of observation, then make a single cell to a closer monitoring.
