Giovanditto Matteo, a 58 year old man, lives alone in an apartment, was murdered on Thanksgiving weekend.
Neighbors are wary because they Giovanditto not seen since the eve of Thanksgiving, so she called the police.
"This happens very rare and unusual for a crime of this magnitude in this community," said Twis Lizasuain, sheriff's spokesman.
She also said that the murder was an "isolated incident" and that "we do not believe in the safety of residents is at risk."
