Vikings Peterson hurt his right ankle vs. Redskins

Landover, Md. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson injured his right ankle in the first half of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
Peterson was injured when he was on a 1-yard carry late tackle in the second quarter.
Vikings Peterson initially said was likely to return, then demoted him to ask. He did not play in the final round of the first half and not have to start the second half. He stood on the sidelines of his analysis, ankle band and walked on with care and hard times short sprints.
Earlier in the game, Peterson topped the 1,000 yards for the fourth time in his NFL career by four years.
Vikings defensive lineman Ray Edwards also left the game in the first half with an injured left leg.
Redskins corner Carlos Rogers left in the second half with a hamstring injury. He missed the previous week, Tennessee win with a hamstring ailing.
