Running, she said, helped her both physically and emotionally, give him time to reduce stress to gather ideas and events of the day.

"If you're out of the race, it's just you. You're only there on a race with your thoughts and nothing else. I'm much better mom and I'm better at my job because I feel better "said Sosa Springs." It's pretty simple - it is the feeling that I meet that "someone like me" just ran the race. "

Although Sosa has done several 5K races Springs and about five half-marathons, this is his first time, a full marathon of 26.2 miles. Since it was his first marathon, she did not have a time goal, hoping that in the end.

"I have great relationships with LAPS done," said Sosa Springs. "It's just a good environment, and you meet other runners."

LAPS began in 2009 when Mike Burton began sending a list of his Yahoo account. Two years later, the organization has grown from four to nearly 100 members.

LAPS is "an organization with the sole purpose of providing local runners information, support and networking opportunities built. Emphasis is placed on runners of all levels, "the group's Web page.

Although she says her only goal is to end, "said Sosa Springs, she receives great satisfaction when she crosses the finish line after a race.
